This is a very simple blog of a simple guy trying to live a not-so-simple life.
Explanation forthcoming.
I'm a Christian. As my pastor says, "The Christian life is not hard, its impossible." Talk about putting it mildly. I am not, by any means, living in Iraq, Iran, Ethiopia, or any of those nations where Christians are persecuted by the legal authorities. That is a different type of "hard" altogether. I do, however, live in modern America, which is a land of relativism, political correctness, and "nyah-nyah". This tends to translate to "Anything is cool except real Christianity."
My favorite verse is in Titus 1, vs. 9; here, Paul is giving qualifications of elders (the qualities of which, every Christian young man should be striving for). The last given qualification is in Titus 1:9 - "[the elder must be] holding fast to the trustworthy word as taught, that he might be able, by sound doctrine, both to exhort and convict those who contradict."
If I hold onto something tightly, my knuckles tend to pale. If I am holding on for all I'm worth, holding on with eternal life in mind, holding on to something worth holding onto...
I tend to get white knuckles.
This blog is where I plan to post my thoughts. It may be a journal entry, short story, lesson I've learned, or just a funny video to lighten your day. I plan to post every Friday at least! Thanks for visiting!
God bless,
Ben
Yeah, Ben!
